We've come a LONG way baby...

Happy first birthday Will and Elle

On Sunday January 11, the twins turned 1 year old! This last year has gone so fast but has been so much fun. We feel so blessed to have added these two happy, healthy babies to our family :)

We had Aaron's mom in town as well as my mom and dad. We had a great time watching the babies eat spaghetti dinner and their cake.

At one year Will is:

weight: 20 lbs 11 oz 25%
Height: 30 inches 50%
Head : 18 3/4 inch 25%

Elle was very symmetrical at:

Weight: 19 lbs 1 oz 10%
Height: 28 inches 10%
Head : 17 1/2 inch 10%

Will is cruising all furniture and LOVES to push Elle around the house on their little bus. His favorite word is still Mama (which I love!!) He loves to eat! He will eat anything you put in his mouth, or in front of him except for anything that has the smooth consistency of baby food. He has the curliest hair when it is wet and I am obsessed with it! He loves the bath, loves his sisters... all three. Just learning to shake his head "no" and appears to be very uncoordinated at it. Dances to music, steals toys from his sister.

Elle is still much more content crawling and is not all that intrested in walking. She pulls up on everything, but is not yet cruising. She LOVES to have Will push her around on the bus. If he is walking with it she crawls over to it and fusses until we put her on and then she gets a HUGE smile! She always makes a silly face... scrunches up her nose... it is here way of smiling :) Her favorite word is still "dada" (which Aaron loves). She also takes every opportunity to show off her tricks... waving, clapping, shaking her head "no" etc. Just like Will she also will have nothing to do with baby food of any form. She enjoys, the bath, fighting with her brother, watching and laughing at her sisters, and biting when she doesnt get her way (we are working on this... any suggestions are greatly appreciated).

Sledding

The day after Christmas we loaded up to go for a drive. We brought sleds and snow gear with us just in case we spotted a good sledding hill... well what do you know, we found one. It was REALLY cold outside so the babies didn't last more than 5 minutes. Ava did pretty well, and Hannah was a snow bunny. I think that Hannah would have stayed out there all day.

A good Christmas

Will had pink eye over Christmas... looks painful! The hit of Christmas was the keyboard (it was Will's favorite gift too). The girls (mostly Hannah) have been playing it ever since! Elle's favorite part of Christmas were all the different flavors of wrapping paper... she had more than a daily dose of fiber :)

We had Court, Aspen and Audrey over for yummy breakfast. We missed seeing all of our family but we were so Thankful to have a little bit of extended family here to spend Christmas with.

The girls gifts to each other

This year we decided that the girls should pick a project that they could design and help make for each other. Ava wanted to make Hannah a blanket with fluffy's (aka. yarn tied in a knot), and Hannah wanted to make Ava a pillow case with a flower. On different occasions I took the girls to pick out the fabric for their project. It was intresting that with TONS of fabric to choose from they picked out almost identical material. I had so much fun spending time with each of them indavidually making these gifts. They designed the projects, helped to cut them out, and told me where to sew. I also let them sit on my lap and sew a bit themselves. They were so proud of what they had made for eachother and could not wait for the other to open it up.
